POLLUTION AND STRESS

With increase in pollution and stress at work, hair loss has become a major problem for many people. There are a number of products available in the market for treating hair loss. Some of these products contain harmful chemicals that are not only harsh on hair but cause several side effects also herbal hair loss treatment is however the best option for people suffering with hair loss. Relying on nature’s infinite bounties not only helps in preventing hair loss but also do not cause any side effects. There are many natural and herbal remedies to treat hair loss. The best herb that can be used for treating hair loss is Kanta karika. When Kanta karika is applied with honey, it not only stops hair fall but also treats split ends. Its cleansing effect is very good for hair. Similarly Neem is also very good for curing hair loss. Water soaked in Neem leaves clean the hair and replace the damaged and the dead cells in the scalp. Like Kanta karika and Neem, there are other herbal remedies also that are better than the harsh chemicals most of the products use. Herbal hair loss treatment not only helps in stopping hair fall but also gives the hair more life and shine.

LEARNING TO SWIM

My wife and I have been searching for a place to buy or order prescription goggles for swimming for quite a few days now. Our daughter would like new prescription goggles for swimming for her birthday. The elastic band on her current pair of goggles is growing old and the transparent parts are becoming cloudy. We were also considering getting our daughter Lasik eye surgery, but we can not find an eye surgeon’s office that will do Lasik in Dallas. We also do not know if our daughter would be willing to go in for Lasik eye surgery. Surgery can be a scary word, even if the surgery in question is performed with precision lasers and not actual blades. It might be a good idea just to offer our daughter the Lasik eye surgery along with a pair of regular goggles for swimming instead of the prescription goggles for swimming that are seemingly impossible to find. This would make our job of finding her birthday present much easier; she would also no longer have to wear her glasses anywhere and not just for swimming. If our daughter agrees to the Lasik eye surgery and we can find a place that will do Lasik in Dallas, then we would have to wait until a break from school to get the surgery done.

REALIZATION

While it is going to be hard to do, I have finally come to the painful realization that I cannot possibly stuff any more shoes and clothing into my closet.  I found this out the hard way.  I was trying to add a new sweater to one of the many stacks I have piled up on the top shelf that runs the length of my closet.  I thought I should have been able to get one more sweater up there.  But as soon as I got it tucked neatly on top of the last stack, and turned to walk away, there was this crash!  Clothes went everywhere. Looks like I need bedroom closet organizers.  The shelf holding that huge amount of sweaters and assorted other pieces of clothing just couldn’t take the strain any more.  Just looking at all those clothes may me realize that it was really not necessary to hoard.  I am well able enough to buy new ones wherever I want.  That’s why I am in the middle of a clothes-slide.  And that’s why I have realized that I have to do some packing up of old clothes.  If I’m honest I know I will not wear them again.

INCENTIVE

A couple of my friends are considering moving to California.  On friend, whose husband has already landed a job there, says it’s pretty much set that they are going to move there.  They are in the process of divesting themselves of all their furniture and their apartment here.  The other friend, who is thinking about an offer to join a small law firm, whose advertisement billboard states “If you are looking for a personal injury attorney in Las Angeles, call P.I.A. right A.W.A.Y.!!”  She thinks the slogan is a little cheesy, but then again, maybe they are people who can relate to her quirky personality.  I must say she thinks outside the box, which may be why she will make a good living in her chosen field.  We are all still trying to figure out how she got her hands on a snapshot of that billboard that advertises this firm.  We hope that someone from the firm didn’t mail it to her as an incentive to come out and visit them.   My friend has never been anywhere except to New York and back.  She is very smart though, and I pretty sure, knowing her, she had checked and double-checked this firm.

ATTENDING A LECTURE

Shortly after my mother was diagnosed with diabetes, she decided to attend a lecture on understanding type 1 and 2 diabetes at the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University.  She had read about the presentation in the paper, and decided that it would be a good idea for her to go.  She sat and listened to the hour and a half long presentation, and said that she was utterly bored by most of it.  She said that there was not any information that the doctors had not told her or that she had read on the Internet.  What she did find helpful though, was talking to other people at the lecture that had been suffering from diabetes.  She said it is one thing to be able to read about it, but to be able to talk to people that had gone through or were going through the same exact things that she was struggling through made her feel better.  People traded advice, and talked about the different things they had done and tried.  When she got home, she joked that it would have been a more productive use of her time to skip the presentation all together and just show up at the end to talk to all of the people there.
