I'm really glad I decided not to go out of state for college. All through high school it was my dream to go away somewhere exciting like San Francisco or New York City, but in the end my parents managed to convince me to stay here in Chicago. In the end I really thank them for helping me make the decision to stay. All my friends have massive student loans that they have to pay off, and I managed to graduate without owing anybody a single penny. While I might not have gone anywhere exciting, or attended the most prestigious school, I have really enjoyed my college experience. I loved my school and all the people I met here, and I even got to study abroad in France for a semester! That's even cooler than going to school in New York City, or at least I think so. I'm just glad I didn't have to take out any loans, so now I don't have to deal with any debt harassment. Now since I am debt free, and my career is growing wonderfully, I can travel anywhere I want to. I really think I made just the right decision for myself.
