LESSON LEARNED
I was backing up my car and easing it down the driveway, knowing that today more than any other day I was at risk of hitting the mailboxes. My wife always parks her car too far towards the middle, leaving no space for me. I was so frustrated; no I was just down right angry. I had been meaning to buy a USB pen drive to back up my files, I do research for several marketing firms, and it’s a side job, something to augment the cash flow. Until now I’ve only occasionally backed up the info onto a CD, never really worried about the possibility of losing it all. I was going through my files the other day, something I haven’t done in a long time and I hadn’t realized how much I’ve done in the past six months. It got me worried that if something would happen, just some little fluke, it would all be gone. So that’s when I decided to get a pen drive and back up all my info onto it on a regular basis. But I was busy and didn’t go right away and the fluke happened just this morning. After a long bout of swearing, I got a hold of a computer guy and I have to pay out of my nose for data recovery. So I’m off to get a pen drive before I have a chance to forget.
